Atte Kallio was born in Lahti, Finland, and is currently based in Helsinki. He is a multidisciplinary artist primarily focused on contemporary drawing and lithographic print. Kallio's artistic repertoire predominantly comprises graphite drawing on paper, alongside the manipulation of stone surfaces inspired by various esoteric and spiritual practices. He is best known for his distinctive figurative language, which intricately depicts the unseen world of the spirit through an intuitive use of graphite. 

  

Kallio's work delves into the exploration of multiplicitous conceptions of an afterlife, faith, and the presence of various spiritual dimensions unseen by the secular era. His artistic endeavors are characterized by a profound engagement with the ethereal and metaphysical realms, reflected in his nuanced portrayal of esoteric themes. One of his notable projects includes the Lithography print titled "Birth" (2021) and “First Light” (2022) showcased in Antwerp, Belgium. Through his art, Kallio invites viewers to contemplate the complexities of existence and the transcendental aspects of human experience.
